The Water Cycle

water_cycle The water cycle describes the continuous movement of water on, above and below the surface of the Earth. The water cycle figures significantly in the maintenance of life and ecosystems on Earth. By transferring water from one reservoir to another, the water cycle purifies water, replenishes the land with freshwater, and transports minerals to different parts of the globe. It is also involved in reshaping the geological features of the Earth. In addition, as the water cycle involves heat exchange, it also exerts an influence on climate. Understanding water and learning to have a deep appreciation and value of water are important components to earning the public's trust and support for advanced wastewater purification projects such as the GWRS. In collaboration with many water experts and Kröme Communications, the national WateReuse Association has created an Urban Water Use and Reuse Water Cycle which demonstrates the vital role water recycling and ocean desalination projects can play in sustaining our world's water supply.
